In just a few days, you’ll get the training and practicum you need to write the credentialing exam and start offering colon hydrotherapy to your clients.

A comprehensive accredited program for professionals seeking to become certified in Colon Hydrotherapy. Give your clients what they need, using an increasingly in-demand modality.

If you work in massage, lymphatics or nutrition, you probably see clients every week who struggle with bloating, constipation or slow digestion, and there’s only so much you can do for them right now. Colon hydrotherapy gives you another direct way to help the people who already trust you.

Looking to start a new career instead of offering a new service? TLA’s I-ACT Professional Colon Hydrotherapy training is a full professional program that will give you everything you need to take the industry-standard certification exam.

Our 265-hour program combines 200 hours of online study with 65 hours of in-person training and practicum. Together they cover colon hydrotherapy, anatomy and physiology, microbiology, intestinal health, nutrition, professional practice, and health and sanitation, with extensive supervised clinical training. Translation: it’s easier than you think to become a certified colon hydrotherapist, and you don’t need a health care background to start.

Learn From an Instructor With Nearly 30 Years of Experience, at the Academy You Know and Trust

This first cohort is taught by international expert France Robert, who has trained colon hydrotherapists since 1997. She sits on the board of I-ACT, the International Association for Colon Hydrotherapy, which sets the education standards for the profession, and she has been certified by the National Board for Colon Hydrotherapy (NBCHT) since 2008. In November, she brings her method to Longév Clinic in Toronto. It’s the only time she’ll teach it here.

That means you have the chance to learn the standards from someone who helps set them. It also means you’ll be preparing for the NBCHT exam, the final step to I-ACT colon hydrotherapy certification, with someone who knows what it takes to pass. And finally, all of your training is hosted by the Toronto Lymphatic Academy and sanctioned by I-ACT itself, so you can be sure the experience will be top of the line.

A More Complete Approach to
Colon Hydrotherapy Education

Colon hydrotherapy is a personal treatment, and many clients arrive nervous. If you can quickly help them relax and trust you, the session will go better… And your chances of repeat business will go up.

That’s why you’ll learn far more than how to use the equipment. The I-ACT Professional Colon Hydrotherapy program at TLA will teach you how to settle a client’s nervous system, use abdominal massage to support the treatment, and read how they’re doing as the session goes on. You’ll also learn everything you need to know about safety, digestion, and elimination.

If you already work in digestive health, lymphatics, or integrative wellness, the program also looks at how colon hydrotherapy fits alongside manual lymphatic drainage, fascial work, and nervous-system-informed care.

In other words, we’ve brought the same nervous-system-first approach behind the Toronto Lymphatic Academy’s LINFA™ method to colon hydrotherapy training, and now you have a chance to learn it all.

What You’ll Learn

The course includes 200 hours of top-notch online training, along with 65 in-person hours that teach you to run a colon hydrotherapy session safely (everything from preparing the room to sanitizing it after).

You’ll be assessed throughout your time with TLA, both on the required material and on how safely you guide a client through a session.

Clinical Foundations

  • I-ACT operating procedures and professional standards
  • Client intake and post-session procedures
  • Indications and contraindications
  • Recognizing individual client needs and challenges
  • Business practices, professional ethics and required supplies

Device + Treatment Procedures

  • Colon hydrotherapy device operation
  • Treatment room and device preparation
  • Safe insertion and end-of-session procedures
  • Device maintenance

Sanitation + Water Safety

  • Post-session sanitation
  • Treatment room sanitation and disinfection
  • Device sanitation
  • Water filtration and the importance of proper filtration
  • Filter replacement and ongoing maintenance schedules
  • Appropriate sanitation products for the device versus the clinical environment

Client Care + Clinical Practice

  • Scheduling systems, appointment confirmation and clinic workflow
  • Greeting clients and confidently guiding them through a session
  • Extensive supervised hands-on sessions with fellow students and scheduled clients

Learning How to Use the Equipment is Important… But There’s So Much More

By the end of this one-of-a-kind program, you’ll know how to guide a client through a full treatment, from the first conversation to the end of the session.

You’ll Leave With:

  • Everything you need to prepare for the NBCHT credentialing exam, the final step to I-ACT certification

  • Extensive supervised hands-on experience

  • Confidence operating colon hydrotherapy equipment safely

  • A deeper understanding of digestive anatomy, physiology, motility and elimination

  • Hands-on abdominal massage skills to support treatment

  • Sound sanitation, safety and professional procedures

  • More confident client communication and treatment-room care

  • An understanding of how nervous system state can influence the treatment experience

  • Practical ways to support comfort and regulation throughout a session

  • More confidence reading client responses and adapting care

From Performing a Treatment to Caring for the Person

Here is the key difference between this training and others: by the end of your time at TLA, you’ll stop asking “How do I perform this treatment?” and instead think “What does this person need from me during a session?”

You’ll learn how to pay attention to each client’s history. You’ll gauge the state of their nervous system. You’ll understand what their abdominal tension and is telling you and know how to adjust the session to them. And you’ll come away thinking differently about digestion, elimination and the abdomen in the cases you already see.

What the Training Experience Looks Like

The in-person training builds your hands-on skills and clinical judgment step by step, over 65 hours.

With only four students, you won’t be waiting your turn or practicing unseen. You’ll get time on the equipment every day, and an instructor watching closely enough to correct the small things that make a session go well.

  • A Calm, Clinical Learning Environment

Hands-on training takes place at Longév Clinic in downtown Toronto, in a quiet, private treatment room.

Most sessions run outside regular clinic hours, so the treatment room and the clinic around it are yours while you train.

  • Live Demonstrations + Hands-On Practice

Each part of a professional session is demonstrated before you practice it under the supervision of France Robert herself.

Along with the equipment, practice covers client positioning, communication, abdominal massage, pacing, nervous system support, sanitation and your presence in the room.

  • Individual Feedback + Clinical Reasoning

Your instructor watches you throughout the practical training and give you feedback as you go.

She will assess your equipment use, sanitation and safety, communication, abdominal massage, body mechanics, pacing and presence, and how well you adapt to the person you’re treating.

  • Testing + Assessment

Testing happens throughout the 65 hours, both on the required knowledge and on your practical skills. You’ll complete the applicable I-ACT certification requirements and be eligible to take the credentialing exam from NBCHT.

Join Now and be Part of TLA’s First-Ever Colon Hydrotherapy Cohort… And the Only One to be Taught By France Robert

Our inaugural training at Longév Clinic will be limited to just four students total, creating an unusually intimate learning environment with close instructor access, individualized feedback, and significant hands-on support throughout the practicum.

Students will also train within an active multidisciplinary clinic, gaining experience with the practical realities of treatment-room setup, equipment management, sanitation, and shared clinical space.

Later cohorts will receive the same hands-on training and supervision, but this first training group will be the only one to learn directly from France Robert. It’s a once-in-a-lifetime chance to train in such a small group with an instructor of her experience, and it will never happen again in Toronto.

Who This Is For

This training is for you if you want to work as a professional Colon Hydrotherapist, whether you’re new to health and wellness or adding colon hydrotherapy to a practice you already run.

You don’t need to be a healthcare practitioner or have clinical experience. You do need an interest in digestive health and client care, and the commitment to learn the knowledge, skills, and standards it takes to work safely with clients.

Are You a Good Fit?

This is a 265-hour professional program. If you’re looking for a short workshop or a quick certification, it isn’t the right fit.

But if you’re ready to put in the time and practice, and you plan to work in a professional setting.

You should also be comfortable working closely with clients during a treatment that can leave them feeling physically and emotionally exposed.

Most of all, if you’re curious, kind, and open to feedback, and you want to learn to care for the client as well as the equipment, it’s an opportunity you may never see again.
