Robyn Hickey

Robyn Hickey

Robyn has been teaching Pilates for over 12 years. She trained in Pilates through the Pilates Process, a physiotherapy and injury-informed Pilates method. She continued her education with certifications in Functional Anatomy for Movement and Injury (Mount Sinai, NYC), chronic pain management (Polestar Pilates), the Pink Ribbon Program for breast-cancer rehabilitation, Pilates for Neurological Conditions, TRX, and Level One Movement for Trauma. In 2021, she worked with the International Labour Organization’s Canadian and Myanmar chapters, teaching Pilates and self-regulation techniques.

Pelvic floor health has been a primary focus for Robyn, inspired by her own postpartum experience and the desire to move beyond “bounce-back” culture. She holds dual certifications in the Pre and Post-Natal Core Confidence Program and the Core Confidence Program, specializing in pelvic health, diastasis recti, incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, and pelvic girdle pain. She regularly collaborates with pelvic floor physiotherapists to create comprehensive, client-centered programs. In 2018, Robyn started Rebalance Pilates. Her focus has always been, and continues to be, to help her clients not only feel strong in their bodies, but to feel safe in their movement and trust how their body moves. Robyn is continually inspired by the body’s resilience and its capacity to heal through informed, intentional movement.
